Diary.
First of all I’m sorry I couldn’t make it on Saturday Natsumi.
I know you are going to miss Tokyo but hey, whatever you are gonna do up in Yamagata living with your parents, don’t forget the creativity! I’m expecting to see funked up Kitano-Shrine
Will go up there one day. Sorry can’t be sure when. Maybe Ooko-shit can tag along since he seems to have tons of spare time haha.
Surprised the hell out of me. I thought it was my Winamp going though random playlist.
Its a drama show called “Boss” on Fuji TV. I know Fuji TV uses lot of game soundtrack even on News programs but never thought they would be using one on a Drama show. (Armored Core, Ghost in the Shell are repeatedly used)
You can watch the captured video here.
Light drawings with DSLR. Photo was taken long ago and finally got my hands on it. It was my first trial so I know it didn’t come out exactly as expected but was a good practice.
I used standard issue flashlight but I would recommend small LED key-chains. Should have an accessible push button so you can turn it on/off easily.
Here is the PSD file containing alphabets only.
Picture is what I found in Bionic Commando published by Capcom. So is Capcom into in-game advertising?
I know AXE was putting some effort in in-game ads with Tom Clancy series such as Splinter Cell and Ghost Recons. And Metal Gear Solid series always featured Sony related devices.
In any case how effective are these anyway? Unlike usual ads, this would be hard coded, meaning it will be there forever.

First of all, isn’t so-called “guerrilla rain” just a squall? Guess I’m not the only one who questioned about it. 今流行の『ゲリラ豪雨』って『スコール』ですよね?
Seriously it doesn’t matter whether its called “guerrilla rain” or “uber unexpected piss from the sky”. It just sucks to be stuck at the station waiting for it to stop raining!
Ahh my patience is running thin. Wish there was more time…

I’m sure there are tons of Photoshop tutorials out there so I won’t go into specifics. Emulating Lomo type effect in Photoshop and you can download the final source here.
In case you don’t know what’s Lomo you should check out some stunning photos here. Although I’m shifting towards Digital because of its handiness, I still love Analogue SLRs.

Misawa…You were truly one of the greatest Japanese wrestler that I’ve ever seen. Its really sad we won’t be able to see you on the ring anymore.
I still remember those matches with Akiyama, Kobashi…No matter how hard you were beaten, you always stood up refusing to lose.
Misawa, you will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Tiger.

Notes.
Pretty interesting. So you can pretty well expect those unranked applications are not making money at all. I don’t exactly know how iPhone user in States play with their phones, but I still haven’t seen a single iPhone user in Japan who plays game.
I see comuters play games either with their phone or DS/PSP almost everyday but not iPhone. I guess iPhone games are not suited in Japan. Some games require you to tilt the phone itself and I’m sure that’s pretty annoying to surroundings. While DS is simpler with a touch pen and mobile games only require single hand inputs.
So Apple should pull those gaming ads from TV. It obvious Gree and Mobage- Town will continue to overwhelm mobile game market in Japan.

Just a little photoshop practice, making photo look scratched and dull. The photo is from my parents’ place.
Learning step by step in photoshop is important so that I can understand better to redo this process in actionscript. Maybe I should make a Lomo-effect generator with iPhone just like fladdict’s tiltshift generator.
Be ambitious Fukatsu-san!
Time passes by lighting fast. So Q4 is over and so as my position as primary flash engineer. Will be working more as a director from this quarter. Of-course will be keeping track of flash and web technology as always and will continue to work on my personal projects.
And the exciting E3 is over. Splinter Cell Conviction has gained my attention, I think I’m gonna go for it. NATAL and PlayStation stick w/ a ping-pong ball on the top doesn’t excite me at all.
